It's been so long since I posted anything, and I have no idea why I am doing this, pretending that there is a group of people interested in my life and in what I am doing. Haha but isn't that what all social media is about - acting like you're some star and talking to a group of invisible audience. Perhaps it's due to the fact that there is only so many things that you can talk to yourself about before you go crazy. Yes I keep talking to myself gosh.

My hair smells like honeydew.

Anyway, life is good and peaceful. Every day is a good day. I'm still staying in the same hall, but this time in a single room, which is a bliss, when the weather is not too hot, because then I'd start getting frustrated. All of the people I hang out with in hall are out on industrial attachment/exchange, and the only remaining friend I have (Amelia) is forever busy, so after school I'm usually alone, which is nice, but the biggest problem I have every single day is FOOD. You know when you have a friend, you wouldn't mind taking bus / walking to somewhere further for dinner, but when you're alone and free and bored, suddenly Canteen 2 seems extremely far, and the only thing I have for dinner everyday is the ban mian in Can 14, and at 8.30pm no less, when there is no crowd in the canteen. Oh gosh I sound like some loner.

I am totally fine with being by myself (which sounds so different from 'being alone', because I don't feel lonely at all), but somehow my mum feels super worried - that I'd get depression from talking to myself too much. So she whatsapps me every other day asking me to "on skype" to talk, which is so cute haha. It seems like after school ends everyday my only entertainment is whatsapp (so sorry if I spam people when I am too bored), candy crush, facebook and twitter. And my own mind and unlimited thoughts and imagination (HAHA I am so gross).

I started this entry with the purpose of writing about my life now - what I've been doing, what I am busy with, etc. But now that I think of it, I really don't do anything much every day. I go to school, I talk to my friends, I come back to hall, I nap, eat, do tutorial, watch dramas x4798432, I sleep. I really am so nua. I don't take photos anymore, I haven't got around to learning the ukulele, I get too lazy to make posters, I don't sew because the machine is at home, I don't cook because I hate washing. SERIOUSLY WHAT IS IT THAT I DO?

Random change of topic - I am 22 years old. Whaaaat. I really can't believe that I've worn the key my mummy gave me for one whole year (and 1 month) already. I have friends who are in their final sem, and next year at this time, I'd be out in some school doing my final attachment, and before I know it, I'd be working, like a real adult! But then again, I remember wanting to grow up, to grow old, but now that I really am OLD, I don't think I've grown UP? I really hope that in spite of all these hustle bustle and busy life (that I am going to lead), I'd continue to feel young at heart. Oh shit this is getting emo.

Another random thing, I have been taking health supplements lately, and seriously the tablets are damn big. I always feel like I'd choke on them. Wouldn't it be super ironic if I choke and die on a health supplement that is supposed to prolong my life? (CHOY) (HAHA)

I'm just gonna end this entry abruptly because I need to dry my hair.

The Mini Guide to Customizing Android

After a year of using Android and telling the world how great it is and being frustrated by people who don't make use of their Android's great customization abilities, here's a little guide!!!! This post is mainly for girls, cause everything is about cute/pretty/sleek themes and not so much about how fast it is.

Let's begin! Have been using Samsung Galaxy S2 for a year so everything is based on Samsung I guess. This post is divided into:
- Launcher
- Keyboard
- Messaging
- Contacts and Dialer
- Locker
- Awesome Widgets
- Other great apps

Launcher
In Android, there's the App Screen where ALL your applications are there, and there's the Home Screen, where you can choose to put shortcuts to your favourites apps as well as widgets (clock, calendar, photos,etc). It's the biggest thing that's different from an iPhone where the only thing you can change is your wallpaper. *yawn*

Your home screen is also the page you go to when you press the Home button on your android device. I don't really like the default android homescreen and neither should you cause it sucks!! And here's a few recommendations.

1. Go Launcher EX
Go Launcher is great! There's so many things you can do, like changing the number of screens you have, downloading themes (most important!!) and customizing the look of your home screen to suit YOU.
Most importantly, there's many cute themes on Go Launcher that will make any girl go crazy. I'm not the girly girl type so my home screen is extremely simple. But here's some ideas:



And I also think that Go Launcher is the best one so not gonna review other launchers.

You can try: Apex Launcher or Nova Launcher. I personally don't like it but apparently it's fast. However, there's a lack of pretty themes.


Keyboard
That's the second most important thing! I am fine with the Android keyboard on Note II, but I didn't really like the keyboard on S2. (I think they made improvements to it) So I downloaded several keyboards to test out. Gotta admit that the iPhone keyboard is so much better. But I'm not complaining lah.

1. Smart Keyboard Pro
I love this keyboard! Cause it's one of the better keyboards and it allows you to input Chinese language as well. The words suggestions are also quite accurate, but it takes time for the keyboard to get used to your typing style. Sometimes when a misspelt word gets keyed into the dictionary it's also quite irritating.



I love it cause it's very sleek. Yes I love simplicity. Did I mention that already??
You can customize Smart Keyboard Pro as well! Just search "keyboard skins" on Play Store and you'd see a few great themes. Download and install it, and then you can choose it under Preferences.

2. GO Keyboard
This keyboard is not bad. But I find it a bit too cluttered. The good thing is, you can write Chinese as well! Yay. Also, there's a shitload of themes to choose from. Just go to the Play Store (app store) and search "Go Launcher themes". I like sleek themes so don't really like the GO keyboard themes! They're too gay for me.



You can try: SWYPE Keyboard. But can't enter Chinese.


Messaging
There's no problems with the messaging application on my phone, but it's so dark and black and there's nothing wrong with wanting something prettier and customizable!

1. GO Sms
Yes GO again. This GO series is indeed good! And as usual there's a shitload of themes you can choose from, some ugly and some really cute. There's also the pop-up feature which I like! Check out some of it:



If you love the messaging interface on iPhone, there's even an iPhone theme. -______- It's really easy to download and customize, so no issue here. Be prepared to spend a whole day searching for the perfect theme though! Hahahaha.

2. Pansi SMS
As above, GO series is good, but to me, there's toooo manyyyy features!! It's so cluttered! So I use an alternative called Pansi SMS. There's also the pop-up feature!



You can choose themes as well! But I use the default white theme cause it's so clean and sleek!!!


Contacts and Dialer
Again, I have no issue with the android contacts and dialer, except that I hate it alllll black! And so we GOTTA CUSTOMIZE IT.

1. GO Contacts
What's new what's new! GO GO GO!



You can try: Dialer (just search that on Play Store). It's sleek!


Locker
Yes you can even customize your LOCKSCREEN. Don't you just love android! It's not just changing the wallpaper!

1. Go Locker
Go Locker is super super easy to use. You just download the app, then find a theme you like and download it. However, you can't really customize much! For some themes, you can't even change the wallpaper, and that sucks. But I guess the ease of usage factor really helps a lot. Here's some screenshots!



But with android there's always an alternative! And here it is!

2. WidgetLocker
As its name suggests, it's a locker where you can put widgets on it. There's also almost 100% customizability! Meaning you can put any shit on it! In my S2 locker which I have no screenshot of, I had a photoframe widget, clock, and this application called Missed It (see below). Love it!



See the screenshots and you realize that they all look so different! That's because you really can do anything you want! You can even change the way your phone unlocks! However, if GO Locker is Level 1, WidgetLocker will be Level 10 cause you will have to take some time to learn how to customize it. It also costs $2.99USD!


Other Cool Widgets
Here's some other cool widgets! That you can put on your homescreen or widgetlocker!

1. Bobclockd3
This is a cool clock. That's all. Nothing else hahahha. You can customize the colors to suit your theme!



2. Minimalistic Text
This is also another cool widget but it's slightly difficult to use. I took quite some time to figure out. Generally, what it does is, you can place some text anywhere in your homescreen/widgetlocker. How you customize the text is entirely up to you. The text can be the date, time, day, battery percentage, temperature, or even some random words. It can be numbers or words. You can even choose to bold/glow/italics/underline certain words.



For example my battery is at 60%. You can make it be SIXTY, sixty, 60, sixZERO..etc. The possibilities are endless. Once you get a hang of it, it'd be easy to use.

3. Missed It!
For this, it actually displays the number of missed calls/texts/notifications for various apps. Check out the screenshot:



I like to put it on my lockscreen using WidgetLocker, because that way, you can check the number of notifications you missed without unlocking your screen! :)

Hello world! Just the other day, J and I went to Gardens by the Bay to take photos, as well as to celebrate our 2♥th month together! HEHE so gay put the heart as zero. And how time flies!!!!

The first photo is taken by his prime lens. The depth of field is really so niceeee!! The set of photos include those taken by prime lens, 18-55mm, and my compact. Hehe we so variety! And photos of me is obviously taken by him and vice versa. Enjoy!





























Oops overdose of my photos! It's not that I didn't wanna take more photos of J, but it's really weird for a guy to stand amongst tall grass to take photos HAHAHA. So in the end he stood with a ROCK. How manly right!!

Anyway, if you noticed, I cut my hair!! :) It's a big deal to me cause I chopped off about 5-6 inches of hair! That's so much!!! But it's okay cause I love it!! And and 1 more week till the end of my internship, and 2 more weeks to camp! Can't wait to get the camp over and done with cause I hate camps! Haha.

Of Picnic at the Seaside

So the other day quite some time ago, the girlfriends and I went to Sentosa for picnic! Only 4 of us cause Pear went for her camp and Camilia MIA! But we had lotsa fun!!!! Neh and Teir prepared food and it was YUMMMMYYYY hehehehe as usual I didnt prepare lalala.

Love this set of photos! I had a hard time choosing decent photos that don't show too much skin! And I apologize for the amount of tribal prints hahaha I kinda lost control there, plus there's so many weird things in the background that needs covering up! Photos are taken by all of us - we just passed the cameras around hahaha. Edited by me!























We had lotsa fun just nua-ing around and camwhoring. Neh and I actually took a shitload of photos but they're all of us in bikini, so I'm not posting them! Must meet up with them soon before school reopens!!

And wow see my hair is so long!! BUT!!! I just cut it the other day to slightly below shoulder length! Love my hairstyle now - it doesn't have any split ends, looks damn healthy and it dries so quickly!!! ♥

Have been busy lately, but I sewed a pleated skirt and laptop sleeve! Upcoming projects include a dress, a polka dot swing skirt and a bustier top! Can't wait!! :)

Of Project Toast & Ghost III

We're on a roll! Hahahaha! The other day Kuanz and I went to Bongqiuqiu's flea and then we walked around aimlessly and found ourselves at a grass patch! HAHAHAHA an extremely photogenic grass patch, albeit with a good amount of people. And so..















Really love this really simple and basic font. Hahahah and if you haven't guessed it, our series name is Frolicking in the Sun because we chose to believe that we're in a cooling country and the sun's not extremely hot and we didn't sweat at all!!!!

Hahahhahahahaha joke.

Anyway I've been busy with my internship and it is alright so far, just a little lethargic in the middle of the day! :( Well let's hope it'll be a good one!!!
